I found an amazing video on YouTube where Frank Kern talks about how to be successful in online business. You can find it further down the page.
There are dozens of great Frank Kern videos online but this one really grabbed me because in it Frank provides his two commandments of internet success, on which more later.
Who is Frank Kern?
If you have an interest in internet marketing and online business you probably know who Frank Kern is, but just in case you don’t here’s a little bit of info.
Frank is one of the most successful people in internet marketing, having made millions of dollars with a variety of products, consulting and coaching programs. Search online and you can find out more on his products and programs, and hear what he as to say on all aspects of internet marketing.
Keys to success in online business
The video here is split up into seven sections (the timings of the sections are shown below), and the most interesting section for me is at 7 minutes and 41 seconds were Frank talks about his keys to success in online marketing.
I should just say here that the section I am recommending contains some bad language, but that’s just the way Frank gets his point across.
He summarises his keys to success as the “Two Commandments To Being Successful Online”, and here’s an outline of what he says:
1. Thou shalt not f*** around
People spend a lot of time reading forums and buying internet marketing products but often don’t do any thing with them. That is they never take any action. Even though they have all the information needed to get started and be successful they never take the most important step and get started.
They mistake buying products and reading for taking action. What they are lacking is a sense of urgency and they never get to work. That is they are just f***ing around, so don’t do that!
2. Don’t be a pussy
Is it okay to say pussy? I don’t think it’s as bad as the word in the first commandment.
This one is about people who are prepared to spend a fortune buying products and attending seminars but won’t spend a small amount of money (e.g. $100) on an ad campaign in case it doesn’t work. That is, they are afraid of failure.
According to Frank you are likely to fail 98% of the time, but the 2% of what you do that works can provide you with a good income. Again, buying products can make you feel like you are doing something but unless you put them into action you are not doing anything.
Who does this sound like?
I don’t know about you, but the reason this section of the video grabbed me was because this sounds just like me. I have bought loads of products and started to use some of them, but I have difficulty following through with any of them. The point about being prepared to spend a fortune on products but not being prepared to try some inexpensive ads really hit home.
